Author Biography

Jeff Tamarkin has been a music writer and editor for nearly five decades. He has written for numerous publications including Billboard, Playbill, Creem, Newsweek, the New York Daily News and Mojo, is the author of several books on rock artists including Jefferson Airplane, and has written liner notes for more than 75 albums. Jeff was an editor for Goldmine Magazine, Relix and JazzTimes, and has served on the Nominating Committee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and as a consultant to the Grammys. He is currently the editor of the music website BestClassicBands.com.
